Overview
Lego Super Mario is a Lego theme introduced in 2020 when the Super Mario Bros. celebrated its 35th birthday. The companion app, LEGO® Super Mario™ is not a game; it is an instruction and a community for those who have bought LEGO® Mario™ and/or LEGO® Luigi™, the physical toy sets. In this app, players can read instructions on how to build a course and/or design their own ones and share them with friends.
Gameplay
The real game takes place in real life. Players first set up the course either by following the instructions or by using their own imaginations. Players hold the Lego Mario or Lego Luigi and put them on some blocks where there are tags that can trigger the reactions of the characters.
► To maximize the use of the app, you need to get one of LEGO® Super Mario™ playsets.
► Scan the code on the Lego character to register sets and display them on the app’s main screen.
► Interact with the digital instructions in the app and assemble the items, such as the Bowser’s tower.
► Follow the instructions to build a course or design your own course.
► Connect the app to a Lego character so that you can track your digital coins after clearing a course in real life.
► Browse cool challenges in the app and inspire yourself.
► Share your creation with other players in the app.
Review
Lego Super Mario is a game that’s a possible combination of two favorite things for kids. Lego is my all-time favorite where you can build up anything you want from pieces or you can always follow the instructions that are on the menu. I love when I can just build a spaceship or a car and do whatever I want to So it’s like a real-world Minecraft game but you are limited to smaller pieces. Super Mario is a good game that’s been around from year to year and it has always been one of the most favorable Series in Nintendo history.
In the game, you will have the chances to play as either Mario or Luigi and it’s totally up to you. It’s always cute to see them in the Lego form. It’s always interesting to see games that are connected to other sorts of things and the magical combinations make me fall in love with a lot of games fair enough to say. You will have to take an adventure in this game and you will be expanding your own Lego Super Mario world in this game. There will be a collection of what you achieved throughout the gameplay which will keep you on track with everything. I like this feature because it’s always gonna make you feel proud and happy when you see how much you can be doing in the game. The game is also sort of like Minecraft where you can use 3D building instructions to build things you want there to be in your world. You are also able to collect coins while exploring the world so it’s like the Mario Series since you will be collecting coins again.
There is quite a bit of challenge you will face when playing the game and you can use your skills to finish those challenges. One of the best things I love about this game it’s its ecosystem in the game and saving screenshots of the happy moments in the game. I feel like every company would have the awareness of making the right decisions to stop either societal issues or choose to save the environmental issues while still making great games players can enjoy. It’s like a win-win situation for both sides. The save your moment feature makes me feel like I can always record the best time I have while playing this game and I need to keep records of moments so I can often check back on it in the future. You are also able to sign in to your Lego account while playing this game. So this game is a great try for those who are big lego fans and majorly kids. You can able to connect two worlds and I would also say the game is good for those Lego players who haven’t played any kind of video game.
Some flaw with the game is that it’s a battery-draining game so you will keep in mind your phone batteries when playing it outside or without a phone charger. The level mixer is a topic that people always bring up in the game because it feels lame according to players. The game has issues like loading for some players as well.
Overall, this is a good game, fun and creative, and especially nice for children to try out. There are a lot of things and adventures you can take with your friends or by yourself. So I would recommend people to give this game a shot just to see what’s in there and whether you will like it or not.
